Specifically, the current garbage bags will gradually be replaced by a system of <strong>chip-enabled containers<\/strong> and <strong>sorteerstraten (underground container stations)<\/strong>. Citizens will now pay according to the <strong>weight of their waste<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>1. Two systems for disposing of your waste<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Home containers<\/strong> (40 L, 140 L, 240 L, or 1100 L).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sorteerstraten (underground container stations)<\/strong> accessible with an electronic badge.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>In both cases, fees depend on the <strong>weight of waste produced<\/strong>. Interrand determines for you which system applies. Sorteerstraten will be used in the streets of the Tervuren and Moorsel centers.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>2. Main Rates (2024 values, indexed annually)<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Residual waste: \u20ac0.32\/kg<\/li>\n<li>Organic waste (GFT): \u20ac0.16\/kg<\/li>\n<li>Container rental 140 L: \u20ac0.70\/month<\/li>\n<li>Container emptying 140 L: \u20ac0.65 (residual waste) \u2013 \u20ac0.10 (GFT)<\/li>\n<li>Sorteerstraat subscription: \u20ac1.40\/month<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>3. Assuming 30 bags per year (overestimation), the annual cost is \u20ac51.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>4.
